About
I’m an Engineering Manager based in Lisbon, currently managing a data platform engineering team that I joined as an individual contributor before moving into management. My path here started in mathematics and statistics, and led through nearly a decade of hands-on work: recommendation systems, ML-based CyberSecurity detection, and large-scale data platforms.
I’d describe myself as persistent, honest, and friendly — when I run into a hard problem, I don’t rest until it’s solved.
These days I care most about growing engineers, staying close to technical depth even while managing, and building platforms that make other teams faster.
Outside of work: yes, I’m about to say the most cliché line in every bio ever written — right up there with Uncle Ben’s “great power, great responsibility” — but I genuinely love spending time with my family, it’s the best part of my day. Past that, you’ll find me deep in a game, watching football, or catching up on whatever show everyone’s talking about.
